Haemodialysis Centre
Providing high-quality care for patients with kidney failure and chronic kidney disease
Haemodialysis is a process used for patients with impaired kidney function to remove toxins, waste, and excess fluids from the blood using an artificial kidney, or dialyzer. Depending on the patient’s condition and body weight, dialysis typically needs to be performed 2 to 5 times per week, with each session lasting between 3 to 5 hours.
The kidneys normally filter out toxins and wastes from the body through urine. When the kidneys are unable to perform this function properly, a condition known as renal failure occurs. There are two types of renal failure: Acute Renal Failure and Chronic Renal Failure.
When kidney function deteriorates, it becomes necessary to either undergo haemodialysis or receive a kidney transplant. At Shwe La Min Hospital, patients can closely consult with our specialists regarding their kidney-related conditions.
Our Haemodialysis Centre utilizes the advanced Fresenius 4008 S machine, equipped with an Online Clearance Monitoring (OCM) system for effective blood purification and precise plasma sodium measurement. The system also uses Ultrapure Dialysis Fluid, filtered through the DIASAFE plus filter, to ensure a high level of cleanliness.
Fresenius Dry Bicarbonate ensures the use of fresh and hygienic concentrate during treatment. Continuous monitoring of blood pressure is performed throughout the dialysis session to ensure patient safety.
The centre is equipped with a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Supply System, which includes medical-grade stainless steel double-stage RO filtration and a heating disinfection system. This setup prevents the growth of bacteria and other pathogens in the water supply.
Our Haemodialysis Centre operates two sessions daily, with no closures throughout the year:
