MRI Service
MRI is a diagnostic tool that uses magnetic waves to produce detailed cross-sectional images, helping to identify the source of diseases within the body.
What is MRI?
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a diagnostic tool used to identify the source of diseases within the body. It is a machine that uses magnetic waves to create cross-sectional images. The MRI machine uses strong magnetic fields and radio frequencies to produce clear and detailed images of the spine, nerves, and soft tissues. These images provide doctors with clear, precise visuals of abnormal areas within the body, helping in accurate diagnosis without causing any harm to the patient.
To ensure thorough and accurate diagnostic analysis, the latest magnetic resonance technology is used to capture clear and detailed images of internal organs, bones, nerves, and soft tissues from various angles.
Patients who should avoid or be cautious with MRI procedures include:
Individuals with an implanted artificial pacemaker.
Patients with aneurysm clips inserted after vascular surgery.
Those with steel slivers implanted in the eyes.
Individuals with cochlear implants (CI) in the ears.
Those with other neurostimulators or bone growth stimulators implanted.
(For patients who are claustrophobic, MRI can be challenging as it requires entering a confined space.)
